Dhruval is a product strategist, entrepreneur, advisor, and investor. He enjoys continuous learning and believes in zero to one to build innovative products which provide meaningful solutions for the betterment of the world. He has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and an Executive MBA from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles.

He serves as a Founder & Managing Partner for 8480 Ventures, an investment and advisory firm focused on early-stage startups, and as a Venture Partner at an early-stage investment VC firm. Previously, He served as a Founder and CEO of two startups, one in media & entertainment technology and another in Web3 Fintech space, where he successfully led the product, strategy, and operations with the belief that the team is the core of any startup and that working hand in hand creates magic. He has also served at Fortune 500 companies in various leadership capacities driving fixed-income analytics, product marketing, and technology. He also enjoys telling engaging stories as a film and documentary producer.

He is passionate about startup mentorship and wants to help the founders navigate the roadblocks which he faced with minimal friction to grow to the next level. Recently, he served as a coach to UCLA students to soft launch a startup from idea to launch in just 8 weeks. His areas of interest and expertise are FinTech, CPG, blockchain and distributed ledgers, and Media & Entertainment.
