Jasmine Yu Zhang is a private investor, she is the founder of Aosun Capital, a financial advisory and investment company, serving as Managing Director of a family office, Venture Partner at VU Venture Partners, an angel investor at Wharton Alumni Angel Group, LP of SoGal Ventures and Chicago Atlantic Group, and board member of ChildWise International. She is also Co-Founder & CFO of 2 other companies, Sicarf (fashion startup) and Xnergy (renewable energy company). Before her entrepreneur and investment career, she worked at Nokia/HERE Technologies. She studied Strategic Decision and Risk Management at Stanford University and earned a Master of International and Development Economics from the Australian National University.

Sunny started his investment journey as an electrical engineer at the end of his Ph.D. at UCLA in 2013. Since then, he has been part of the creation and sale of two technology startups in the IT and medtech fields. He now oversees the acquisition and management of his commercial real-estate and startup portfolio in Southern California.

Noble A. DraKoln has been involved in multiple tech startups as a consultant, investor, and director. In the early days of the conversion from paging to full digital cellular networks, from TDMA to CDMA, he successfully ran a venture that made mergers and acquisitions in the 900mHz, 150mHz, and 450mHz spectrum’s. Mr. Drakoln started out as a futures/commodities broker at the age of nineteen trading the E-mini S&P, gold futures contracts, and treasury bond strips. Since that time he has authored the Wiley & Sons published best-selling books Winning the Trading Game and Trade Like a Pro. Over the span of his twenty-year career, he has traded S&P 500 contracts, various options, and futures for himself and his clients. His books have been translated into multiple languages, he has been a keynote speaker around the world, contributing writer to Forbes, Futures Magazine, along dozens of other financial magazines, and a radio and T.V. financial commentator on Bloomberg and Fox Business News.

Jerry Heikens is Executive Director for TiE SoCal Angels. Before that he was the Director of Business Development for VDOSH where he was responsible for sourcing deal flow for the venture capital firm. Jerry has a diverse background in the profit and nonprofit sector and has built a strong network of relationships within the investor and startup ecosystem. 
 

Alessandro has designed and developed innovative projects in different spaces: entertainment, engineering, architecture, and healthcare, receiving public and private funding from several organizations, including UCLA, Google, Siemens, Marriott, Universal Studios, Disney, Amazon, Italian Government, Korean Govt, and the City of Pasadena.

He has worked with business founders from 30 countries with companies at different stages of development.

Prior, Alessandro had over 25 years of RnD experience, for 10 years he was also a researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles working on several national and international research projects.
Alessandro earned a degree in Computer Science from the University of L’Aquila, with a thesis on perceptual interfaces at the USC Institute for Creative Technologies and Integrated Media System Center.

Liana Karapetyan is the Director of Hero House Angels, which is an initiative of SmartGateVC, a pre-seed and seed investor in deep-tech companies. Hero House Angels is a network of individual investors backing the growth of early-stage deep tech and science-driven companies across Southern California and Eastern Europe. Her experience spans from accelerator management to startup advisory, partnerships, and community management. She has worked with 50+ companies helping them with customer development, go-to-market strategy, fundraising, and providing customer support. At SmartGateVC, Liana is part of the investment team having 22 portfolio companies as of October 2021.

Sarah Song has spent her career in M&A, Venture Capital, Management Consulting, Finance, IT/tech, and HR with her expertise in Consulting, Coaching, Business Growth/Operations, Marketing, and Analytics. Sarah has partnered with numerous executives from domestic/international companies to drive successful implementations by facilitating strategic decisions. Sarah helps Founders and companies by providing knowledge in the areas of Fundraising/Investors Relations, Growth, Business Development, Strategy, and Branding/Marketing.

Alese Stroud is a central Arkansas community leader and entrepreneur. She is the founder CEO of Issac.ai, where she has automated significant parts of investor due diligence and is working on the application of artificial intelligence to the overall process. Alese manages a real estate investment portfolio for Purple Moon Properties, where storage facilities are her preferred asset class. She occasionally shares her insights on storage investing in articles published on Medium. Alese currently serves the Arkansas Angel Alliance as board chair. As a founding member of the Ark Angels, she invests significant time in sourcing deal flow for her fellow angels and collaborating with other angels and Ark Angel Executive Director, Grace Rains, to complete the due diligence necessary to close funding for regional startups.

Aseem has over twenty years of experience as an entrepreneur, private equity investor and investment banker. He loves sharing journeys of facing adversity and overcoming obstacles on his ACHiEVE podcast. Aseem has founded and sold three health and wellness businesses. He is also fond of art, serving as Art Advisor and/or Finance Advisor to art-related businesses. Aseem began his career with three years in investment banking at Salomon Brothers (now Citigroup) and Wasserstein Perella (now Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, a division of Allianz). In moving to private equity, he initially worked for two private equity funds, Blue Capital Management, founded by four former McKinsey partners, and Brown, McMillan & Co., whose limited partners included founders of leading private equity funds.

Paul Eickhoff is the Vice President of Global PG&A Distribution for Polaris Industries.  Polaris is a Fortune 500 company that designs, engineers, manufactures, and markets power sports vehicles worldwide.  Paul has over 20 years of experience in operations in public companies.  
Paul has had a passion for investing for 20 years.  He has a diverse portfolio of early-stage investments covering commodities, technology, art, medical and crypto.

Robert Heiblim has more than 35 years of experience in the consumer electronics field encompassing all phases of general management, including management of new technology start-ups, and high-growth companies. He is the Chairman of the Audio Division, and also Chair of the Business Council of the Consumer Technology Association, and a board member. He is a Trustee of the CEA Foundation. Mr. Heiblim is co-founder and principal of BlueSalve Professional Consulting and Interim Management providing strategy and execution counsel, service, and expertise in consumer technology.


C. Scott Hindell is Principal of Hindell Consulting where he specializes in human-centered business model design. His key role is to facilitate, for business and industry, the process of generating, developing, and articulating innovative value strategies.

Scott has over 30 years of training experience, and currently teaches a variety of disciplines for UCLA Extension (since 2001). He also leads the M Accelerator program for entrepreneurs and startups. Prior, he taught 10 years at Los Angeles Community College. The majority of his programs fall under the disciplines of business, management, entrepreneurship, design, and global sustainability.

One of only a few selected instructors, Scott is a Master Teacher in UCLA Extension's Instructor Development Program (since 2005). His key role is the facilitator of Instructor Orientations and the Instructor Round Table provided to over 2,000 instructors. He has also led other core workshops for the award-winning program.

Recognized as a value innovation specialist, Scott has performed workshops, spoken at conferences and to groups in the United States and abroad, with participants from more than 80 countries. Notable examples of these include Workshops - 25 CEOs and business leaders from the Chinese Productivity Center; and students and professors from several Chinese universities. Conferences - TEDx-UCLA; and California Restaurant Industry Conference. Groups – Ahmedabad Management Association, American Chamber of Commerce Japan; American Institute of Graphic Artists; and American Marketing Association.

Prior, Scott was a portfolio manager for 17 years. As an NASD Principal and Registered Investment Advisor he owned and operated his own firm for the last ten years of that period. Here he managed large equity and fixed income portfolios with a proprietary trading method he developed, which outperformed the S&P 500 9 out of 10 years with a lower beta. He also advised and managed venture capital investments and mergers during this period.

It is Scott’s deep understanding of multiple disciplines and relentless curiosity combined with his unique ability to recognize bias and facilitate objectivity that has distinguished his success in all of his efforts.
