Black Girl Ventures is a non-profit organization that provides grants and mentorship to Black and Brown women-led startups. Since its founding in 2018, the organization has provided over $1 million in grants to over 200 women-led businesses. Additionally, Black Girl Ventures has mentored hundreds of women-led startups, helping them to secure funding and grow their businesses.

Shelly also believes that it is important to invest in the future of women-led businesses. She is a strong advocate for investing in diverse businesses, as she believes that this is the only way to create a more equitable and just economy. She has also been an advocate for closing the gender pay gap, as she believes that women should be paid fairly for their work.
